Community Group Study Questions:
Spend some time prayerfully answering the following questions in preparation for this week’s Community Group discussion.

1. Repeat from last week: Which of Elijah’s needs were met in 1 Kings 19:5-7? Why do you think this was addressed first? How can you apply this to where you are in life right now?

2. Elijah had a fresh encounter with God in 1 Kings 19:9-12. How can God’s presence affect our mental health? How can we cultivate a fresh awareness of His presence? (Ps. 46:10)

3. In 1 Kings 19:13-14 Elijah created and believed a false narrative (we all do this). What are some false narratives you have believed about yourself? About God?

4. God gave Elijah a new assignment in 1 Kings 19:15-18. How can a new God-given task or project or dream impact your mental health? (Prov. 29:18)

5. How can you apply this quote from Viktor Frankl - “People have enough to live by but nothing to live for; they have the means but no meaning.”?

6. Who did Elijah meet in 1 Kings 19:19? Any idea what their relationship became? Who is your Elisha/Elijah?

7. How can we pray for you?
