Church Center Portal and App
Expand
We are integrating a new communication system so we all can stay connected in simple ways. For most of us this simply means that there will a different portal we use for registrations, giving, and groups. Right now, the first step is to download the Church Center App on your phone or click on the “My Portal” link at the top right hand of any page on our website. From there you can create or confirm your profile. Questions??? Please contact Celena Hosford our Business Manager or the Church Office.
ONE BIG THING: Some of the hardest sayings of Jesus have to do with family. Jesus called twelve men away from their families to be His disciples. Jesus challengingly invites us to remember that, as important as family is, family without Him is idolatry and will only lead to pain.
What if that guy would have said, “first, I will follow you. And then I’ll go bury my father…” You know, I’ve heard Jesus is pretty good at funerals. He brings hope in the midst of lose. He gives consolation in the midst of grief. He brings resurrection into the midst of death.
What if the second guy would have said, “first, I’ll follow you. Then I’ll go and say goodbye to my family.” Do you think Jesus can help us with goodbyes? He brings encouragement in the midst of separation. He brings hope for reunification in the midst of separation.
Jesus wants to be a part of every aspect of your family. Even in your most tender and tragic moments, like a funeral or a long goodbye, Jesus wants to be there. And that’s why he wants to come before your family, because Jesus wants all sorts of good things FOR your family.
