“When the devil casts up to us our sin, and declares deserving of death and hell, we must say: ‘I confess that I am worthy of death and hell. What more have you to say?’ –– ‘Then you will be lost forever!’ ‘Not in the least: for I know One who suffered for me and made satisfaction for my sins, and his name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. So long as he shall live, I shall live also.’ – Martin Luther
