I believe that God calls all of us to be partners in sharing His love, His redemption, and His message with the world. Matter of fact, I feel like in the world we live in today, that one of the most effective ways to fulfill the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel is following the call of the Holy Spirit to pull alongside people, listen, and then at a moment when God leads us, to share our testimony about Jesus.
God calls us to partner with Him to bring His Kingdom to light in our world. That’s the heart of our mission to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Time and time again we see Jesus pull up alongside people and enlighten people’s dark lives with the message of the Kingdom.

Philip leaves Jerusalem, starts this new church in Samaria, and it’s exploding. Things are going really well. All kinds of transformation is taking place. Peter and John come down to help even.
This is how God has always accomplished the work: through ordinary, everyday people.

God will go to great lengths to reach just one person.
Acts of the Apostles 8:27-28 NLT

And so Philip comes alongside and it was just the right time and it was just the right place for him to have a Jesus moment with this Ethiopian. God needed an incarnate witness to share with Him.
The Ethiopian, in an act of surrender, says like Philip, “I’m available. Whatever you want to do, please do. I lay down my life. The plans I had I surrender to you. I want your plan for my life, God. I’m available. I don’t want to be tied by this rope anymore. I want to be set free to live who you’ve called me to be."
Acts of the Apostles 8:36-38 NLT

Acts of the Apostles 8:34-35 NLT

More than anything else, God called Philip to do this because He knew Philip would go and do it. That’s really what He needed—just somebody who is willing and available to walk alongside someone else, listen, and at the God appointed time, share Jesus.

Online Giving

Giving is a part of our worship to God. It has been said that you can tell nearly everything about a person by the way they spend their money. Whether you are tithing in obedience to Malachi 3:10 or contributing over and above your tithe as an act of generosity, your money helps us share God’s hope and healing to our community and beyond. We give out of gratitude and love! You can give safely and securely online. Thank you.
