David said these words in Psalms 34:3 “O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.”
If you are like me, you have had a magnifying glass in your hand at one time or another. Does a magnifying glass make an object bigger? No, of course not! Yet, it makes the object seem bigger to us. I believe David knew that when we praise God, we are in effect magnifying Him.
Will you join with me this morning in worship to our great God? Let us magnify Him this morning as we sing, pray, give, and listen to His Word. My prayer is that you leave here better than you came, and you can say that you have met with God today. If you have any questions about our church or services, please feel free to ask. If you have a decision to make about your salvation, or about following Jesus in baptism or church membership, will you please come and talk with our pastor during the invitation time of the service.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
As we think about this very popular verse, what does it mean to you?
I hope as we break down this text this morning, you can get a better view of how important the words of this text are to every person that is on this earth.
We will look at:
How big God’s love is.
How His sacrifice is for us all
His invitation for us, and
The life He is offering to us.
If you do not know Jesus in a very intimate and personal way, this text is for you. If you do know Jesus in an intimate and a personal way this text is for you too. This text is not only a call to salvation, but also a reminder of how great our salvation is. Please listen closely and open your hearts this morning to God and let Him in so He can speak into your lives and guide you through this life to fully enjoy the eternal life that He has waiting for us all.
Thanks to all who helped with food and the behind the scenes for a wonderful week of revival. If you missed it, you missed a blessing! What a wonderful and challenging week to hear from the Lord. Bro Juan brought some very challenging messages, now we need to apply them to our lives and truly ask God to send revival across our land and use us to do so.
Back to School
As we approach the start of another school year, I want us to take time to pray for our teachers and students as they embark on this year. We have several of our congregation that are teachers for several different districts. Will you join me in praying for them to have a safe and successful tear as they teach and minister to the many children that pass through their classes and halls this year.
We also need to be praying for our students that they too, have a safe successful school year, and that they will see the opportunity to talk to their peers about Jesus this year. This is the greatest mission field we have, and these students have the possibility to be the greatest missionaries the church has too.
