We are a church in the heart of Harrison, with Harrison in our heart. We are a group of people who are grateful for the gift of forgiveness offered to us through Jesus. Our goal is to spread the good news of God's amazing love to everyone we can.

BIG PICTURE: “How can this be?” was the question Mary asked the angel. It’s a question we too ask in many areas of life. Christians believe that upon God’s initiation Jesus was born. And that his birth was to rescue us from the mess we are in and to reconcile us back to a whole relationship with God and to aid us in mending the broken relationships around us. How can this be? “With God all things are possible.”

KEY VERSE: Luke 1:35 …“The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So, the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”

THE APOSTLES' CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary.
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

CONCEIVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Spirit overshadowing is meant to remind us of Genesis 1.

Jesus is fully human and fully divine.

BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY

It’s not so much a biological statement but declaring that Jesus’ birth was special and that it was real.

The Gospel accounts view Mary to be a virgin and that there was a miraculous conception.

GOD’S INITATION

Jesus was born into a Genesis 3 world.

No one has their act together.

The good news is that God has done something about the mess we’re in!

A FIRM FOUNDATION

BALANCE: The more I embrace the fact that God has initiated this relationship, the more confident I will be about life.

CLARITY: What I believe about how I am saved really matters.

COMMUNITY: We are a people of optimism.

GUIDANCE: God has gone to great extremes to rescue you. Trust God!
