Listen with Care

The act of listening can radically transform any relationship. Jesus gave us a mission to be a blessing to others. Listening with care opens the door to sharing Jesus with and blessing those around us. -------------- God’s way of reaching and restoring the world has always been through blessing. BLESS is an intentional pathway for persons of all ages who follow Jesus to become like Jesus and join the mission of Jesus. Join us as we learn to engage with B - Begin with Prayer. Expect to be encouraged and challenged to love our neighbors well in the name of Jesus!

1. Notice People
So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 2 Corinthians 5:16
2. Create Space
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
3. Ask Questions
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13
4. Doing God’s Work in God’s Way Means Listening to Those Around Us
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 1 Corinthians 6:6-7
