In Week 2 of "In Between", we are taking a look at the role that prayer plays in our seasons of waiting. How would you describe your prayer life?
How does it feel to be in the space between the prayers you pray and the answers you want? Share a time you've been in this space.
Ultimately, prayer is about our dependence on God. A common statement is that prayer changes things. Jonathan describes this as a mystery. How so? How has this statement caused confusion at times?
Read and discuss your thoughts on the following scripture.
Here's what we can be certain of: prayer changes us! How is this very different from expecting prayer to change things? What inner work has God done in you, and/or what inner work might He be wanting to do for you?
Pastor Jonathan shared an example of holding out a bottle of water. It gets heavier the longer we hold it. When we find ourselves in a season of living "in between", how would it free us to hand the weight over to Jesus? What does that look like?
