Kalkaska Church of Christ
A Sentimental Journey
Thanks for connecting with us this week at KCC! These notes and announcements are for the week of January 16, 2022. We need to place those in leadership who will lead us in the direction of God. And we need to be followers who will be faithful to the cause.

Sunday in-person Worship Covid Precautions
We are pleased you chose to join us in-person this Sunday morning! We ask that if you do not feel well, or have any symptoms of sickness or fever, that you stay home.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services came out with guidelines Friday, November 19, 2021 concerning large gatherings as cases of Covid have risen. We are not requiring masks, simply suggesting the safety of wearing them, making them available, and keeping everyone aware of current guidelines.

We have masks available as well as hand sanitizer in the church lobby. Please be respectful when it comes to hugs and handshakes. Some people are more comfortable with what is going on than others and again, we simply want to act in love.

Please take a communion cup (bread is underneath) as you enter the worship center in preparation for the Lord's Supper.
We recommend using the QR code to view the virtual bulletin using your own phone or tablet.

Worship is also streamed online weekly from our Facebook and YouTube pages at 9:00 am Sundays and from our CHOP (Church Online Platform) at 10:30 am.
1. Jesus' followers stuck together
Prophecy, prayer, hope, victory
2. A leader emerged to inspire and organize their actions.
3. The leader was called upon to direct them.
As a church, we are on our own sentimental journey, and we must.
a. Stick together
b. Choose leaders

Is it time? Have questions? We can help!

Interest in being Baptized?

What is baptism all about? Who can get baptized? Am I ready to take this critical step in following Jesus? If you have questions about baptism or you are ready to take the plunge, let us know!

Let's show we care this winter!

College & Military Care Packages!

KCC's Women's Ministry is collecting gift cards (or cash and we will obtain the gift cards) for college students and our Military members. With things the way they are, we are trying to simplify these care packages so we are only sending gift cards and packaged snack foods.

We are also in need of financial donations to help cover the costs of these snacks and postage. We will be including the His House students as well in this, so we are looking to possibly send 30-40 care packages.

Please have all financial donations and gift cards to the church no later than January 30th so we can get these packaged up and sent out the first week in February.

Register a Student or Military Member

We are looking for all KCC students attending college and those who are stationed away in the Military. Register your student or Military member to receive a care package. You can also register in the church Lobby. Thank you!

KCC's Secret Sisters

All of the ladies of the church (18 and up) are invited to participate in this ministry of caring and sharing with our sisters in Christ! You will each be given a “Sister” that you will need to pray for and encourage. It is wonderful to have someone that prays for you daily and is there to send you an encouraging note from time to time. We’ll be keeping our “sister’s” a secret; so don’t let anyone know who you have.

What are your responsibilities if you participate in the Secret Sisters Program?

1. Know that it is a month-long commitment (February 6th, 2022 – March 6th, 2022). The lady you are assigned will be expecting you to uphold her in your prayers and she should be able to rely on you for encouragement (Gifts optional. Food, candy/treats and cards are encouraged) We will have a table that will be designated for Secret Sisters in the lobby of the church for easy drop off but you can also send things in the mail, have something delivered to their home or office as well.

2. Pray daily for your sister. See her questionnaire to know her needs and her family needs so that you may pray specifically for them.

3. Make an effort to get to know your sister. Focus on her likes and dislikes from her questionnaire.

4. Be an encouragement to your sister. Send her cards or notes of encouragement.

5. Keep it a secret! Don’t let anyone know whom you have. Spoil her, love her and serve her from a distance to maintain the surprise.

6. If you are unable to continue, contact Lisa Cummings or anyone on the women’s ministry team. If you find you are unable to continue participating in the Secret Sister program, let someone know so another “sister” can be found for the lady you were assigned.
