Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
The turning of our calendars into a new year often ushers in a time of reflection. Typically, New Year's resolutions focus on the "external", such as diet, exercise, reading, etc. But, Pastor Jonathan encourages us to focus on the "internal"- the work of God's Spirit in us. Carve out time to pray and discuss the following template.
*Remember.
Ask: "What happened?" Look back at the last 12 months of your life. What was positive? What was challenging? What changes did you experience? What did you celebrate and what did you lose?
*Reflect.
Ask: "How am I different?" Based on your last year, take an honest look at the emotions you experienced. How are you different today than you were a year ago?
*Refocus.
Ask: "What matters most?" Looking ahead, what adjustments will you make? Reflect on the following scripture when considering this.
Dr. Crawford Loritts stated that "Jesus is not a reference point but a context for all of life". As you consider making Jesus your filter for everything, what does this statement mean to you? How might this shape your 2022?
As a result of this message and discussion, what are your next steps?
