The Valley Church - Piqua
Unstoppable Joy: Pressing On
Paul is in prison and chained to circumstances when he writes his letter to the Philippians, but it doesn’t take long to see that he’s brimming over with great joy and contentment. How does he do it? His letter to the church in Philippi shares the secrets of living a life of unstoppable joy no matter what comes our way. In this 4-week series, we’ll discover how to begin experiencing the joy God wants us to have in every season of our lives!

What is the goal of your life?
Every year at our Christmas Eve services, 100% of our offering goes to bless local non-profit organizations that are meeting basic needs in our communities.

This year we are partnering The Mercy Mission House in Shelby County, and The Community Food Truck in Miami County. Click the links below to learn how they are helping people in our communities.

Our goal is to see 100% participation and to have some fun with it, we are asking that every individual or family gives $29.95. Some of you may want to add a zero or two after the last number, as the Lord leads you!

Be extravagantly generous and discover the joy of giving - it’s who we are at The Valley Church. By crowdfunding this need, we hope to help 75-100 families through this offering and there are many, many people struggling with needs this year.

We are calling this offering, "Love Does." Why? Because the love of Jesus Christ compels us to do things to show others His love.

It is simple to give. Just go to our Valley Church app, select the Love Does tab and give. In addition, you can give through our website, (www.thevalley.church). If you plan to attend one of our onsite Christmas Eve services, you can bring your gift and place it in the Joy Box too.

Christmas Eve at the Valley Church

We will have two service times for this special event; 4:15 and 5:30pm!
We invite you to make Christmas Eve a part of your family's annual traditions and invite a family to join you! More unchurched people will come to a Christmas Eve service than any other time of the year. Pick up free e-tickets online using the links below.

If tech isn’t your thing, grab some paper tickets for your family and friends in the atrium. Just select a service and we will be sure there are plenty of seats for you and your family!

This Year at the Valley, we are teaming up to help others for Christmas. Would you like to help families in need? Our Valley Families have already been adopted! However, you can still help other families in our community. Visit the Christmas trees in the Atrium to find out what supplies are needed for a local charity.
Ladies, come join us for the Christmas Edition of Mercy Street! You'll share dinner with other women, enjoy beautiful Christmas decorations and hear from some of The Valley's very own ladies about how God has transformed their lives. We're excited to have The Piqua Show Choir sharing their talent with us this year. Mercy Street is Wednesday, December 8. Mercy Street is a great event to invite your unchurched friends, family & neighbors.

The event starts at 6:30. Doors open at 5:45.

Tickets are $10. You can register and purchase your tickets while they last at the sign-up table.
Join us during the 9:15 and 11:00 services on December 5th. All preschoolers who attend will be part of an improv retelling of the Christmas story as storyteller Doug Smith narrates the action. Every preschooler will get a costume and be part of the action. It’s one of the most enjoyable retellings of the Christmas story we believe you’ll ever see!

Teen Christmas Party - December 11th

This year, we are hosting our Christmas Party at the Rec in Troy, with both campuses coming together to celebrate with all our 6th-12th graders, and we will have Chick-Fil-A for dinner, cake, cookies, and hot chocolate! We will be offering fun activities such as dodgeball, board games, game systems, basketball, and pool. You should also know that we will be giving away prizes for the ugliest/best-looking Christmas sweaters! There also might be a raffle involved. Join us on December 11th from 5-7 pm @ 11 N Market St, Troy, OH.
If you have any questions, reach out to Taylor.mabry@thevalley.church
Join us for our Elementary Christmas program. All children aged Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us during our 9:15 and 11:00 services at the Piqua Campus to sing Christmas songs! The children have been practicing on Sunday mornings and can't wait to show off the songs they have learned!

The Journey Study

Learn more about what it means to be a follower of Christ and what God expects from us as we live out the new life He has given us. This 8-week Journey explores trusting Jesus, eternal life, what God expects, prayer, the Bible, sharing your faith, giving, the church and more. You do the study at home and then meet for an hour once a week with a mature Christian to discuss the study and answer any questions you have.

How can we pray for you?

There are times when life is overwhelming when all we have is questions. In those moments, hope can feel far away. The great thing about prayer is that it shifts our perspective toward the One who stands ready to listen. No matter what you’re facing, we’d love to pray with you!
