Giving Back to God

Your giving is an act of worship and makes the ministry of leading all onto a transforming path of Christ-centered discipleship possible. You may mail in your offering to the church, or you can give online by following the link below:

Advent is a season of preparation for Christ’s coming.
Preparations for Christmas

What are your favorite Christmas traditions? How early do you begin holiday preparations? Is there something you dislike about the holiday? Do you look forward to snow or dislike it? Do you like colored lights on the tree or white? Do you look forward to family gatherings or are they stressful to consider? There are preparations to make for the holiday.
Preparations for Christ

How do you prepare for Christ? Focusing on Jesus as the reason for the season requires discipline. What can you do to center your life on Christ? Perhaps you can read the beginning of Luke’s Gospel each day and reflect upon the Christmas story. Perhaps you can memorize John 14: 25 – 27 so as to remember the peace that Jesus offers. Perhaps you can buy a gift for a family in need. Perhaps you can be present in worship each week. How will you prepare for Christ this Christmas?
Preparations for Peace

What’s your favorite Christmas movie? The Grinch is a classic, and stars an ill-tempered character with a distaste for all things Christmas. Yet his heart changes as he observes and experiences peace. The people he sought to hurt and share his misery with respond in a surprising way. Do you know the peace of Christ? What chaos or difficulty are you facing? Surrender your challenges to Jesus each day. And each day pray: “Christ be my peace.” Try journaling. Record what you surrender and how inviting Jesus’ peace to make a difference changes your perspective. Does your changed perspective help you work for peace?
