New to The River?
We would love to meet you! Bring your Connection Card and stop by the Connection Room across from the Worship Center. We have a free gift for you, too!
We want you to be connected with others at the River! Whether it's doing things with people who have similar interests, joining a Bible study or community group, or serving. Contact our Director of Connections and Small Groups at email@example.com and she'll make it happen!
New Community Group for First Service
We are excited to offer a new Community Group during the 9:45 a.m. service each week. Mike Dodd is leading this group and all are welcome! Anyone wanting to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org and she will get you signed up.
River 101 Class
Interested in learning more about The River Church? Pastor Brad will be teaching our River 101 class tomorrow night, November 8th, 6:15 - 8:30 p.m. This is a great way to learn what we believe, how we operate, and where we’re heading. If you are interested in membership, the class is a prerequisite. Sign up online at hittheriver.com/events.
On November 16, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. we will have an acoustic night of worship at the church. Come and worship together with us. Childcare will be provided.
Ladies Christmas Tea Party
Join the ladies of The River for an afternoon of tea, cookies, games, Christmas humor, and more on December 11th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Wear your best Christmas festive and enjoy a time of fellowship with other women from The River. Space is limited, so sign-up today at hittheriver.com/events. For questions email Leslie@hittheriver.com.
Being part of a community group is tremendously beneficial for the Christian experience. Not only do you get to experience God with other believers outside of a weekly church service, but you also have the opportunity to go deeper in your studies and relationships – all while socializing and having a good time.
River Church Library Update
The youth girls are refreshing the River Church library and we need your help. We will be expanding and enhancing the current library in the River loft and are looking for donations. Now through November 30th, please donate your gently used fiction and non-fiction Christian based books. We are looking for Christian books of all kinds; parenting, children's books, books on our identity in Christ, faith, prayer, etc., as well as non-fiction Christian books. A collection box for books is located by the fireplace. If you have any questions or want to make a cash donation for supplies please contact Brittany McGaffin at email@example.com.
Do you play an instrument, love to sing, or know someone that does? We are in need of musicians to join our worship team. If you're interested, please contact our worship director to audition by emailing Mystique@hittheriver.com.
Youth Fall Retreat
This year we are bringing back our fall retreat from November 12th-14th at the River Church. The theme for the weekend is Fearless and we will be covering stories from the book of Daniel. Our prayer is that students will leave the weekend challenged to be strongly confident in their Heavenly Father no matter what life may throw their way. The cost is $30 per student which covers activities, dinner on Saturday, and a retreat shirt. Sign up today at HitTheRiver.com/events.
Riverbank Kids Program Opening for Second Service
We are now offering Riverbank kids during second service for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. They are invited to join the RiverBank Kids team at 11:15 a.m. each Sunday for a Bible lesson, craft, games, and activities. As we begin reopening children's ministry during the second service, please consider volunteering and joining the RiverBank Kids team. Contact Taylor at Taylor@hittheriver.com if you are interested in serving in this fun ministry!
