We want to welcome you this morning to our services, and we pray that you receive a blessing for being here today.
If you are visiting with us, we would like for you to take a little time to fill out a visitor’s card, found in the pew in front of you and drop it into the offering plate as it passes by or give it to one of our door greeters at the end of the service.
Please keep in mind of all our services throughout the week. Sunday school each Sunday morning at 9am, Sunday evening at 6pm, our mid-week services include Awana for ages 3 years old up through 6th grade starting at 6pm for a meal and classes start at 6:30, our youth meet in the youth building at 7pm and our Adult Bible study in the sanctuary at 7pm. All of our services in the sanctuary are also live streamed on Facebook in case you cannot be here in person. Thank you for being here today and if there are any questions you may have, please ask.
Thank you so much for allowing and paying for Bro Shawn and Mrs. Rachel to go to Maine to support Bro and Sis Dever and the work that they are doing in Dexter, Maine. It really means a lot to the both of us to be able to get away for a few days to spend time with our missionary (maybe a little rest as well).
It is good for the missionary and the people of the mission work to see and spend time with their pastor. This shows the people that we care and are interested in them and the work that they are doing. This mission work has come a long way since 2012 when we took it on. Please continue to pray for the work as it labors to win souls and become a self-supporting New Testament church. Please keep Bro George and Marji in your prayers as well.
Thank you to Bro Chris and Bro Glenn for filling in while I am out. It is great to have a pastoral staff that is willing to carry the load when the pastor is out. Nevills Chapel is blessed to have such a great staff who serves with gratitude and a congregation that understands the importance of mission work.
If you are interested in getting pecans you need to get with Sherri Johnson and get your orders in before October 17th. Sherri can get you the prices for the pecans.
The Hopewell Association will meet this Thursday at Mt Sylvia at 9am. All are welcome to attend.
Trunk or Treat
Get your costumes and decorations ready. We will be hosting our annual trunk or treat on October 27th. We will start at 6pm with a devotional and dinner. You can set up your trunks as early as you want (praying for good weather so we can be outside). We will have our annual chili cookoff so bring your best pot of chili to be judged and for us all to enjoy. Bring plenty of candy or goodies for the kids to come and get. If you have an activity or game for the kids to enjoy, that would be perfect. We will also judge costumes and decorations so go all out and lets enjoy a great time of fellowship and fun.
