GET ON THE BUS, GUS! James 1:19-27
Where are you headed in life? Are you sure you are really on the right path to get there? James 1:19-27 shows us the path to salvation and blessing, but it is a path that comes with significant warnings. The warning is that you can fool yourself into thinking that you are headed in the right direction, all while you aren’t really going anywhere.

Questions To Consider
1. Based on verses 18 and 21-25, what is James calling us to be quick to hear in verse 19? What does this mean for speaking and anger?

2. When do I listen to God’s word? Is it enough?

3. How do I purposefully obey what I’ve heard from God’s word? How can I do better at putting into practice what I’ve already learned?

4. How would James say that I am doing with living out my religion based on verses 26-27? How am I doing with my words, helping others, and turning away from sin?
