Gracism: I WILL LIFT YOU UP
What would it be like if there was a diverse group of people that actually all agreed on the premise that JESUS is the WAY TO GOD, JESUS IS GOD, and the BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD while addressing issues regarding RACISM, SEXISM, CLASSISM, AGEISM and every other ism? We believe it would be a colorful community of GRACISTS. People who intentionally extended positive favor to other people regardless of, and sometimes because of their color, class, or culture. I pray you make every effort to not miss one of the next 8 Sundays.......

Racism according to Google: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Or according to Wikipedia Racism:
is the scientifically false belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another.
In the book GRACISM Dr. David Anderson defines
racism as speaking, acting, or thinking negatively about someone else solely based on that person’s color, class, or culture.

Gracism is: the positive extension of favor to other people regardless of, and sometimes because of color, class, or culture.
The Seven Saying of a Gracist are the following I WILL:
1. Lift You Up
2. Cover You
3. Share with You
4. Honor You
5. Stand with You
6. Consider You
7. Celebrate You
II. Lifters Need to LOVE PEOPLE
III. Lifters Need to LOVE TO SERVE
IV. Lifters Need to BE HUMBLE

JOIN THE CAUSE
Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC), Refugee Services, anticipates serving an unprecedented number of Refugees, Parolees, and Special Immigrant Visa holders in the coming year. Once a family or individual is assigned to our care, we work to ensure their basic needs are met. We walk beside them as they acclimate to their new community and seek employment.
To meet the needs of those we serve, we partner with community organizations whose values reflect our own: Welcoming all, serving joyfully, and leading by example.
We invite your organization to partner with LSC as we walk alongside our new neighbors and friends. Please consider sponsoring a donation drive to assist our agency in providing for the basic needs of our most vulnerable community members.
