Acts 1:8 You shall be my witness in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth!”
II Cor. 17-20 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ!
Reconciliation: "Bringing Estranged parties together."
I. AN AMBASSADOR GOES AS A PICTURE
Jesus Came As a Picture:
John 14:8 - "Philip said, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.'”
John 14:9 - “Jesus replied, 'He who has seen Me has seen the Father.'”
Colossians 1:15 - “He is the image of the invisible God.”
What Are We a Picture Of?
A. A picture of servanthood
Matthew 20:28 - “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.”
Matthew 23:11 - “The greatest among you shall be your servant.”
Philippians 2:4 - “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Galatians 6:2 - “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

B. A picture of forgiveness
Luke 23:34 - “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
Matthew 6:12 - “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”
Ephesians 4:32 - “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you.”
C. A picture of love
John 13:34 - “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
1 John 4:20 - “If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.”
Truth: “If you don’t love one another, you don’t love God.”
Philippians 1:27 - "Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ."
II. AN AMBASSADOR GOES WITH A PURPOSE
1. Regeneration
Ephesians 2:1 "We were dead in trespasses and sins."
II Timothy 3:5 says “he saved us not on the basis of righteousness that we had done but according to His mercy by the washing of Regeneration…”
John 10:10 The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. I have come that they might have life abundantly.”

2. Rest
Matthew 12:30 “He who is not with me is against me.”
James 4:4 do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God ? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Hebrews 4:3 For we who have believed enter that rest.
3. Release
Luke 4:18 Jesus said, " THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES"

III. AN AMBASSADOR HAS POWER
Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 12:7 - “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
