CALL TO WORSHIP
Friends of God, believe this –
God loved the world,
God loves the world,
we are the beloved!
May the truth of this great love story,
shine through our worship today,
and renew our sense of calling.

So come, with your tiredness,
your frustrations and your discouragements;
come with your doubts, your fears,
and your longings.
Come, to discover yet again
how Jesus reveals God’s love and mercy.

Come, in friendship to God
and to each other,
and in friendship to the world,
to listen for God’s Word to us,
to offer our prayers,
and to renew our calling.

Friends of God, let us worship together!
HYMN: "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" #384 verses 1,2,4

Love divine, all loves excelling,
joy of heav’n, to earth come down,
fix in us thy humble dwelling,
all thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
pure, unbounded love thou art.
Visit us with thy salvation;
enter ev'ry trembling heart.

Breathe, O breathe thy loving Spirit
into ev’ry troubled breast.
Let us all in thee inherit,
let us find the promised rest.
Take away the love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be.
End of faith, as its beginning,
set our hearts at liberty.

Finish, then, thy new creation;
true and spotless let us be.
Let us see thy great salvation
perfectly restored in thee.
Changed from glory into glory,
till in heav’n we take our place,
till we cast our crowns before thee,
lost in wonder, love and praise.
Big Truths Week Two: God Loves Us and Seeks Us

PSALM 103
God's love is immeasurable.
God's love moves God to forgiveness. (our sins are not a problem)
God's love causes God to have compassion on us. (our weakness is not a problem)
PSALM 36
God's love is unchanging and unchangeable. It is based on God's character, not our worthiness or lovability.
God's love results in God's good gifts to us.
ROMANS 8
God's love for us is without limit.
God's love is without interruption. (There is no 'final straw'.)
ISAIAH 49
Loving us is bound up in God's nature. It is part of who God is. 1 John 4.8: God is love. If God were to ever stop loving us, God would cease to be God--and that cannot happen.

God knows you. God loves you. God wants you. God chooses you. God is seeking you.
What should we do?
We should respond.
With love
With gratitude
With following--someone who loves us has our best at heart
We should rest.
We should revel--celebrate God's great love for us!

SONG: “Your Love, O Lord"

Your love, oh Lord, reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness, stretches to the skies
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tides

I will lift my voice to worship You, my King
I will find my strength in the shadow of Your wings

Your love, oh Lord, reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness, stretches to the skies
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tides

I will lift my voice to worship You, my King
I will find my strength in the shadow of Your wings

Your love, oh Lord, reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness, stretches to the skies

GOD IS LOVE CREED
I believe that God is love.
I believe that God always looks at me with love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
I believe nothing can separate me from God's love: nothing I do or fail to do.
I believe that God loves me because love is God's nature.
I am God's dearly loved child!

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is In heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
COMMUNION

The hands of God are engraved with our names. The heart of God holds us in an unbreakable embrace The compassion of God frees us from the power of hatred, selfishness and death.
We thank You, God of Love That You never abandon or neglect us.
In our moments of rebellion, God is patient In our quest for independence, God is faithful In our ignorance and pride, God is kind and gentle
We thank You, God of Love that You continually seek and save the lost
When we had broken relationship with God Jesus called us home. He shared a meal with His friends, and shared his life with the world
In Christ, the world is reconciled to God
As He lifted the bread and blessed it, Jesus gave it a new power
This is my flesh, broken so that you may be whole
As He lifted the cup and blessed it, Jesus transformed its purpose
This is my life-blood, given so that you may have life.
As He gave the bread and wine to His friends, He gives Himself to us in this meal.
We are broken people, with broken lives and relationships We have done nothing which makes us deserving of God's love It is Your compassion and goodness that invites us to this meal; To this moment of healing. Feed us, and reconcile us with ourselves, with others and with You. For Christ's sake. Amen.
SONG: "Revelation Song"

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Holy, holy is He
Sing a new song to Him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows of living color
Flashes of lightning rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor strength and glory and power be
To You the only one who's King

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You

Filled with wonder awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your name
Jesus Your name is power, breath and living water
Such a marvelous mystery

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
I will adore You
