Calvary BFC
Does what you are doing today matter to the world? Does it matter to you? What is the meaning of my life? Sometimes we have days that we would like to forget. Sometimes we have weeks that are mundane. So what’s the point of a life lived with boredom or pain? Jesus presents us with the opportunity for a life that is filled with meaning. Join us as we look at 1 John 2:18-25. We will seek to discover how we can experience transcendent meaning even when we live with all of the challenges of our lives.

Questions To Consider
What does John mean that we are in the last hour (v. 18)? Why does that matter?

What is John’s proof that we are in the last hour (v. 18)?

What is revealed when a person stops trusting in Jesus (v. 19)? What can we do to help that person? What can’t we do?

What help does God supply to believers in order to remain faithful (v. 20)? How is this a help? What does this source use to help us?

What are some ways that people deny Jesus? Why is denying Jesus such a big deal (v. 23)?

What is it that we’ve heard from the beginning (v. 24)? How do we let that thing remain in us? What does it mean to remain?

How does remaining in what we heard from the beginning bring us to benefit? How does remaining provide us with meaning for life?

What will I do this week to work harder at remaining and abiding and living in the gospel?
