Welcome to our Services!

We are glad that you have joined us this morning for our services. If you are visiting with us for the first time, we would love for you to fill out a visitor’s card so we can have a record of your visit.
This is a remarkably busy time of the year at our church. If you are looking to get plugged in, now is the time. We have several trips and activities coming up and there are several things you can do to help. We are planning for our vacation Bible School that is coming up soon. We will offer classes for all ages, including Adults, so come and enjoy this time of fellowship and Bible Study. Now is a great time to get involved in a Sunday School class. I am sure we have a class to fit your needs no matter the age or learning level. Please think seriously about coming and joining a Sunday School class. We also offer midweek services throughout the year. Youth and Adults still meet at 7pm through the summer and Awana (kids 3 years old through 6th grade) will start back up in August.

As we head into camp this week, I thought I would share what we will be teaching the kids. We will be focused on seeking the Lord, with our theme being “Treasure Seekers”. As we go through the week, we will be discussing seeking the greatest treasure, which is the Lord. We will teach these kids that seeking the Lord brings the greatest value to their lives far more than any earthly possession can ever do. We will move on to possessing the treasure they seek. It is so much more than a treasure hunt. When they seek the Lord, He will be found and is available to all who diligently seek Him. After they possess the Lord, we will be teaching them to share what they have found. I think we as Christians fall short in this department. The Lord is the one thing that we can share and never run out of. We need more people sharing Christ with a people who are desperate for Him.
Will you please pray for our camp this next week? Pray that souls will be saved and set on fire to serve the Lord and share Him with the world that is desperate need of the “Good News” of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for supporting our kids in this wonderful time of church camp!

640 - Sweet Hour of Prayer
Expand
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
630 - What A Friend we have in Jesus
Expand
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
636 - I Must Tell Jesus
Expand
I must tell Jesus all of my trials,
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me,
He ever loves and cares for His own.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

I must tell Jesus all of my troubles,
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him He will deliver,
Make of my troubles quickly an end.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

O How the World to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus, and He will help me
Over the world the vict’ry to win.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
Invitation - 591 - Have Thine Own Way Lord
Expand
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
