God Summons Us

Call to Worship

Leader: Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens,

All: Your faithfulness to the clouds.

Leader: Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;

All: Your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast You save, O LORD.

Leader: How precious is Your steadfast love, O God!

All: The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

Leader: They feast on the abundance of Your house,
and You give them drink from the river of Your delights.

All: For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light.

Adapted from Psalm 36
Songs of Praise
Our praise is to the God who is faithful in His lovingkindness.

This Is Amazing Grace/Our God/Your Grace Is Enough/Mighty To Save
God Sanctifies Us and Strengthens Us

Confession is the instinctive response of a natural person to a Holy God. Isaiah says in chapter 6, “I am a man of unclean lips” in response to his sense of God’s holiness.

Unison Confession
God of Compassion, look upon us in mercy, for we have not walked in the way of Jesus, your Son. We have not laid down our lives for the Gospel, but have sought to advance and defend ourselves. Our faith in you has wavered; we have trusted more in our own strength and understanding.
In loving kindness, forgive us. Strengthen our faith by your Spirit, that we would be courageous enough to embrace the way of the cross. Enable us to trust that this way of life, proclaimed and lived by Jesus, displays your glory most faithfully and profits us best both now, and in ages to come.

Assurance of Pardon
The grace, mercy, forgiveness and peace of Christ, through the Holy Spirit, has preceded us in this moment. We are a forgiven and strengthened people because of the Father Heart of God, the work of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling, unfailing love of the Holy Spirit. Amen

The Offering
There are around 50 “one another” commands in the Scriptures. They are clear that we are for one another; we support, encourage, pray, conflict, and cheer on one another. Nothing fundamental has changed about these commands. But, the style of how we do this has just changed dramatically!
Therefore, I need to ask that you let me know if something changes in your job or home situation (you can also tell a Deacon or an Elder), it does not need to become public knowledge but I want you to tell someone and then know they are praying for you. Also our Deacons will want to support you.

This means we need all of you to become online givers. All of what we do as a church continues, though it will look different. All of our missionaries will continue to need our support. All of our staff will continue to do their work helping us all flourish as followers of Christ. I know it is a big ask, but I need you to adjust your style if that style was dropping cash or a check in the soft wormy maple boxes.

Paul describes it this way at the end of his first letter to the Corinthians, and it fits both with our calling as Jesus Followers and this current moment when we cannot give in person, "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are
to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.”

If you are unable to give at this time, I hope you contact us so that we can act like the church towards you by supporting you.
