Song Lyrics for Today

— BUILD MY LIFE —

Verse 1
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Verse 2
Jesus the name above every other name
Jesus the only one who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You, We live for You
Chorus 1
Holy there is no one like You
There is none beside You Open up my eyes in wonder
and show me who You are And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
BRIDGE
I will build my life upon Your love It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone And I will not be shaken

— HIS MERCY IS MORE —

CHORUS
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
VERSE 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient, all knowing, He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
CHORUS
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
VERSE 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father, so tender, is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
CHORUS
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
VERSE 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment, His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more So much more!
CHORUS
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
CHORUS
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His Voice
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice
Oh Come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give Him the Glory great things He has done

Satan's been at it for a long time...

The spiritual fight has been going on for as long as there have been believers on the earth. Hebrew Christians faced some real persecution in their lives. It came from both their own countrymen, fellow Jews, who regarded them as traitors, and also from Gentiles.

Christians in the New Testament had to deal with wolves in sheep's clothing, who were casting doubt on the truth of the Gospel.
The Helmet of Salvation

The helmet of salvation is the realization and assurance that the glorification aspect of our salvation WILL happen. So when the enemy tells our minds to just give up on God’s campaign and go AWOL because defeat is inevitable, this is the piece of armor that we need to take up and put on. We must be careful to protect our minds with the reality of our future victory through our glorification.
Paul's Example

Paul dealt with a great deal of hardship as he tried to carry out his ministry. Paul talked about being afflicted, and perplexed, and persecuted, and struck down. Certainly, any one of those things could cause a soldier of God’s to lose heart and raise the white flag of surrender. However, Paul said he did not lose heart. So…While afflicted, he was not crushed. While perplexed, he was not driven to despair. While persecuted, he was not forsaken. And while struck down, he was not destroyed.
