Prayer Gathering
Due to illness and scheduling conflicts there will not be a person present to lead our prayer group this week. Please break up into small groups and pray through the following passages from Romans.

Thank God for the Spirit’s Intercession in our Prayers - Rom 8:15, 23, 26-27 [15] For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” [23] And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. [26-27] Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Pray for the Salvation of the Lost - Rom 10:1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.

Pray for Unity and Like-Mindedness - Rom 15:5-6, 30-33 [5-6] May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. [30-33] I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf […]

Prayer for Our Struggle Against the Enemy- Rom 16:20, 24-27 [20] The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. [24-27] Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.

Missions Trip Organizational Meeting
Please be praying about your participation to join with Refuge Church in Detroit on several projects this summer. The first one will be on June 18,19. Organizational meeting after the morning service on May 23.
Open House for Dora Butcher
We will be hosting an Open House for Dora on Sunday, May 23 at 9:00 am. We hope to see you all there as we express our love and appreciation for Dora’s faithful participation in the life of our church since its planting in 1956!
Samaritan Summer:
This summer we want to take a cue for Jesus' remarkable story of the Good Samaritan, and put a pause on our some of our regular Wednesday activities at Bethany. Instead of gathering at Bethany on Wednesday evenings, we hope you use your Wednesday evenings to build relationships with your neighbors. We have established a Facebook Group to encourage you through the weeks ahead in this endeavor (please see Pastor Jonathan if you need help gaining access to the Facebook group). We also plan to engage and encourage each other through a number of other avenues. Let us be praying that God will use our efforts this summer to sow the Gospel into the lives of our neighbors.

Hannah’s Bridal Shower:
Join us in celebrating Hannah Deloney’s up-coming wedding at her bridal shower on Saturday, June 12th at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Light refreshments will be served; a SignUp Genius has been sent out, if you are able to help with food items.

Hannah is registered at Amazon and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Please see Sandy Dalton, Dara Frank, or Traci Wass if you have any questions.
