The context of 2 Chronicles 5-7 is several hundred years after Joshua. Solomon is the King of Israel. He has overseen the construction of the temple. The work is finished and now they are dedicating the temple. God’s glory, His manifest presence invades the Israelites’ Temple dedication service. This Bible passage has four principles of when the Lord sends his glory.
1. God sends His glory when we are assembled together to worship Him.
2. God sends His glory when we are willing to bring sacrifices to Him.
Our God has always demanded sacrifice. What does it mean to sacrifice?
3. God sends His glory when we praise Him together.
What we can learn from these verses is there is a kind of praise that moves God’s heart. It has four components...

4. God sends His fire and glory when prayers are offered to Him.
It is the prayer of God’s people that brings the fire of God.
