The context of 2 Chronicles 5-7 is several hundred years after Joshua. Solomon is the King of Israel. He has overseen the construction of the temple. The work is finished and now they are dedicating the temple. God’s glory, His manifest presence invades the Israelites’ Temple dedication service.
