SERMON OUTLINE
Sin has affected our relationship with:
1. God
2. People
A. We relate to people on four basic levels of an interconnected web:
1. The Public space
2. The Social space
3. The Personal space
4. The Intimate space
B. The company that you keep will shape you.
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20, NIV)
Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; (Proverbs 22:26, NIV)
C. Find company that will support you.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. (Proverbs 17:17, NIV)
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24, NIV)
How do we reflect Jesus’ love in our relationships?
1. Be Present.
2. Be Engaged.
