Have you ever gotten “the call” you were waiting for regarding a job or position? What did you do? How did it feel?

Have you been called by Jesus into His family? How have you responded? How does that call make you feel?

What does Jesus call you to do as a member of God’s family?

What was the call that Jesus placed on the twelve disciples in this passage? How had He prepared them for the task? How did He further equip them for the task?

How did the twelve respond to their call? Why would accepting this call have been a stretching experience for them? How does following Jesus stretch us?

To what mission are we as followers of Jesus today called? See Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8.

How does Jesus empower us for the mission? How does Jesus equip or train us for the mission?

What is my specific role right now in the mission from Jesus? Do I need to get a role? Do I need to change my role? Why is this role so important?
