Bible Study and Group Discussion
Read Acts 13:1-52.
Acts of the Apostles 13:1-52 NLT

1. In Acts 13:1-3, what was a priority for the church leaders before sending Saul and Barnabas on a missionary journey? Why was that important?
2. In Acts 13:4-12, why were Saul and Barnabas going to meet with the governor?
3. What hindered Saul and Barnabas from talking with the governor? What hinders you from sharing the Good News of Jesus with others?
4. In Acts 13:17-23, what are the things Paul says God has done? Why is Paul detailing these actions of God?
5. In Acts 13:26-39, how and why is Paul emphasizing fulfilled prophecy and the resurrection?
6. What key things would you emphasize when explaining the Good News of Jesus to someone else?
7. What was significant about the Good News of Jesus that caused you to want to know Him better?
8. In Acts 13:42-52, what are the various responses to the message given by Paul? How do you explain such a variety of responses?
9. When has someone opposed or tried to turn you away from your faith? How should you respond? (See 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians 6:12)
Spiritual Practice
Spiritual Practices help us experience the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. They’re meant to be more than one-time actions, becoming a natural part of our lives.

Your Spiritual Story. Practice telling the story of your experience with Jesus by writing a brief response to each question below.
a. Who was God to you early in your life?
b. When did God become more real to you, when you experienced Him in a life-changing way? Explain.
c. How has God been working in your life recently?
Memory Verse
So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NLT)
Prepare for Next Sunday
