Why is the Resurrection of Jesus Important?

“The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single greatest event in the history of the world. It is so foundational to Christianity that no one who denies it can be a true Christian … A person who believes in a Christ who was not raised believes in a powerless Christ, a dead Christ. If Christ did not rise from the dead, then no redemption was accomplished at the cross” — John MacArthur

“Without the resurrection, the cross is meaningless.” — Billy Graham
The Statements of the Apostle Paul

IF there is no resurrection …
THEN Christ is still dead;
THEN the gospel is an empty proclamation;
THEN our faith is in vain;
THEN those who preached the gospel are liars;
THEN we are still lost in our sins, separated from God:
THEN when we die, that’s it. You perish away in the grave;
THEN we Christians are absolutely pitiful!

Why the Resurrection of Jesus Matters!

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the crux of human history, and it serves as the foundation of Christianity. After taking on complete human nature, living a perfect and sinless life, the Eternal Son of God, died a substitutionary and sacrificial death for our sins and was raised from the dead in his glorified physical body. His resurrection validates his identity and proves forever His victory over death and the grave. The resurrection of Jesus secures the present salvation and future physical resurrection for all those who believe in Him.
