The Crossing
360° Jesus | Resurrection | Easter Weekend
Often the mere mention of Jesus takes us straight to the Gospels. We think of him as the healer, teacher, preacher. He is, however, far more. In this series, we will look at him through heaven’s eyes as the logos, the prophesied King, the crucified Savior, and the risen Lord.

Whatever may seek to divide us, the truth that Jesus is risen stands firm.
The Bible is a book about the division that was created between God and humanity because of sin: the world of Heaven and the world of earth. A great chasm formed between these worlds that could not be crossed.
The Bible is a book about how God bridged that divide through Jesus and what He did in dying on the cross, being buried, and rising from the dead - what we celebrate today.
It’s in the nature of sin to divide
Sin divides our friendships, marriages, and families, leaving behind regrets - broken things that seem impossible to mend.
The Bible says that death entered the world because of sin.
Death is a separation that best illustrates the spiritual reality of the division between God and us.
And then there’s the resurrection! It changes everything.
Jesus crosses the divides between heaven and earth and sin and death, leading us out of darkness, death, and judgment into light, life, and grace.
Games, empires, and champions have come and gone over the centuries, some remembered but most forgotten.
There is one battle, one moment, and one champion remembered by all the world, and the victory won was for the whole world and for all time.
That Friday over 2000 years ago was the greatest battle of all time and the daybreak of the following Sunday morning was the greatest victory. Nothing compares to it.
Every other victory will come and go, many will be forgotten, but this will be the one achievement that will forever define who we were, who we are, and what we will be! Jesus is risen!
The question is what do you believe?
There is no middle ground, only a chasm that must be crossed.
There is a chasm that can only be navigated by a bridge made from the wood of a cross.
There is no other way - there is only one way and that way is Jesus.
