WELCOME TO OUR REJOICING COMMUNITY as we celebrate the Good News of our Lord’s Resurrection! The stone has been rolled away and the grave is empty. Christ is risen! Our Savior has overcome sin, death, the devil and hell. Ours is now the sure and certain hope that only Jesus can bring into hearts and homes. New life is ours! We pray that the Living Lord grants you a joy-filled day with your family, your fellow Christians, and your friends. May each new day, lived in the victory of Jesus, be yours! We invite you to join us each week to celebrate His Resurrection.
(from I Corinthians 15)
Pastor: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
People: Amen.

Pastor: Christ is risen!
People: He is risen indeed!

Pastor: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory?
People: O death, where is your sting?

Pastor: The sting of death is sin,
People: and the power of sin is the law.

Pastor: But thanks be to God!
People: Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor: Therefore, my beloved brothers,
People: be steadfast, immovable,

Pastor: always abounding in the work of the Lord,
People: knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
Verse 1
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night
Then through the darkness Your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ my living hope

Verse 2
Who could imagine so great a mercy
What heart could fathom such boundless grace
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior I’m Yours forever
Jesus Christ my living hope

Chorus 1
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ my living hope

Verse 3
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus Yours is the victory whoa

Chorus 1 (2X)
Chorus 1
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ my living hope

Chorus 1
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ my living hope

Jesus Christ my living hope
Oh God You are my living hope
Pastor: Heavenly Father, as the morning sun breaks through the darkness of the night, so Your Son breaks through the darkness of sin and death. We pray that we who celebrate with joy the day of our Lord’s resurrection may, by the gift of forgiveness, live our new lives to Your glory. May the faith You have planted in our hearts guide us through this earthly journey until we are called to the eternal joys of heaven. We ask this in the name of Jesus who has conquered His grave and ours.
People: Amen.

Pastor: We come together this day rejoicing in the knowledge of Christ’s resurrection. Yet we acknowledge and confess that we have often failed to live as resurrected people. For we died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore, we make confession and ask for forgiveness.

People: Merciful God, our heavenly Father, since You have given Your Son Jesus to die for us, have mercy on us. For His sake forgive all our sins. By Your Holy Spirit strengthen and increase our faith in You. Guide us that we may obey Your Word and walk in Your ways. And finally, bring us safely to everlasting life. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who died for our sin, and is risen and alive forevermore. Amen.

Pastor: We were buried with Christ through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. As your pastor it is my privilege to announce to you all your sins are forgiven in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

People: Alleluia! Amen!
Jesus Christ Is Risen Today

Jesus Christ is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heav’nly king, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s king, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as His love; Alleluia!
Praise Him, all ye heav’nly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!
Pastor: Heavenly Father, with the women who stood before the open tomb, so we, too, hear the message of the angels who announce that “He is not here; He has risen!” Because of this message we have new life!
People: We praise Him who is alive forevermore!

Pastor: Help us to see that the meaning and purpose of life are found in the words, “He is risen!” We are so tempted to believe that we are defined by the things of this world. Teach us again that the true riches of life are found in Your promises of faith, forgiveness, and eternal life.
People: Raise us to the full stature as sons and daughters of the heavenly Father.

Pastor: Lead us to the open tomb everyday so we may be reminded that You conquered our greatest enemies—sin, death and the devil.
People: We praise You as our Lord and King.

Pastor: May we who celebrate the resurrection of the Savior of the world be reminded of the promise that all who live and believe in Jesus have eternal life.
People: Alleluia!

Pastor: Dearest Jesus, You walked the roads of this world. You know the pains and problems we confront. You are well aware of the fears and failures we encounter.
People: Have mercy on us.

Pastor: Lord, the challenges of this life cause us to question Your love and Your power. The devil seeks to use the disappointments and disasters of this life to draw us away from You.
People: Protect us from the evil one.

Pastor: You have promised to use all things for good in our lives. Keep us mindful of Your compassion for us and Your desire to use all circumstances and situations of life to draw us closer to You.
People: We trust, O Lord, in Your guiding.

Pastor: May we who remorse over the faults and failures in this world know You to be our forgiveness, our fortress and our strength.
People: Alleluia!

Pastor: O Holy Spirit, we live in a world that is seeking meaning and starving for hope. What this world offers is temporary. But You have given to us the message of life and life eternal through Jesus Christ, crucified and risen.
People: We pray for our troubled world.

Pastor: People we know live without the knowledge of eternal life. People we love have no hope beyond the grave.
People: We pray for our family and friends.

Pastor: But we pray also for ourselves, that we would be open to Your leading so we who have heard the message of the resurrection, may gladly share that with those we know so well.
People: Use us to share Your message of life!

Pastor: May our lives and our lips proclaim the truth that Jesus lives and so do those who live in Him!
People: Alleluia! Amen!

Pastor: Hear us, O Lord, as we pray in Your name.

People: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Pastor: Go forth in the power of the empty tomb!
People: We go forth, alive in our Lord, praising Him with our words and deeds.

Pastor: Christ is risen!
People: He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Pastor: The Lord bless and keep you always in His grace, and bring you to life everlasting.
People: Amen.
In Christ Alone
Verse 1

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

Verse 2

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

Verse 3

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Verse 4

No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
