Chestnut Ridge Church
He Is... —Part 1
Every year as Easter approaches, various publications and media tend to place the focus on the identity of Jesus. They question it—was He really God in the flesh? Why was He called the Lamb of God? In what way is He the light of the world? The significance of His identity cannot be overstated. Jesus is bigger and more paramount than we could ever imagine. Our faith is only as good as that in which it is placed, and throughout this series we will learn exactly what we are putting our trust in and everything the bible says He is.

Today's Music
Can't Live Without You, King of My Heart, I'm Listening, There is a King
Problem | We live in a dark world
Solution | Jesus is the light of the world
“A major feature of the Feast of Tabernacles was the lighting of giant lamps in the women’s court in the temple… The light illuminated the temple area and the people gathered to sing praises and dance. The light reminded the Jewish people of how God was with them in their wanderings in the wilderness in a pillar of cloud which turned to fire at night (Num. 9:15–23).” –Edwin A. Blum
Today's Takeaway | We live as reflections of His Light in this dark world
• Build a stronger connection to the Light of the World
• Be observant of others' needs
• Reach out in love
• Walk as children of God
