“Church Leadership”
Day to Day Ministry - 2 Tim 4:2 “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”
-Empowered by the Holy Spirit in the teaching of the Word
-Boldness to speak matters of God’s own heart; Grace to be encouragers of the body of Christ
-Wisdom to know what to say, how to say it, and when to say it
-To pursue a blameless walk before God
Keeping Watch - Acts 20:28 “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”
-Grace to remain watchful over themselves, that they may not stray from God’s will
-A heart, wisdom, and discernment to lead as Jesus would Jesus lead.
-Grace to remember that this is Jesus’ flock.
-Thanksgiving for the watch-care that our leaders exercise
Authority - Hebrews 13:17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
-Grace to leaders to lead with love, grace, patience, and perseverance.
-Grace to the flock to submit to authority out of reverence for Christ.
-Wisdom and grace to learn to respect leaders that may not always lead in the way we would choose.
The Next Generation of Pastors and Church Leaders

-God to reveal the hearts of the shepherds that He desires to lead us.
-Training of the men God desires to lead His church.
