About WestWay:
Our mission is simple: we want to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We're growing in three ways: our unity, our purpose and our love. This happens because of the power of the Holy Spirit. God is glorified. Lives are changed. People grow in their relationships with God and with others. We're glad you're here!

Series Overview and Additional Resources

How does the Bible “work”? What is it’s purpose? Where did it come from? How did we get it? Can we trust it? What does it mean for me? Join us as we wrestle with these (and other) questions as we survey the entire Bible together.

The Bible is not a collection of lectures about God; the books of the Poets and the Wisdom Literature add depth, color, and texture that helps us realize God's truths for us today. In them, we see the range of human emotions, thoughts, and feelings that reveal the timelessness, and the timeliness, of the Bible.

This week, we'll be talking about How the Bible Works to Teach us How to Praise God and Give Us Wisdom through the books of Psalms, Lamentations, Song of Songs, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job.
Questions about the Sermon or Anything Else?
Text QUESTION to 308-252-3273 and we will address them in our Tuesday Q&A Facebook Live video on Tuesdays at 11:15. The texts are anonymous to us and the public.
Additional Questions for Your Family, Small Group or in a Bible Study:
Please note, any quotations are from the NLT.

1- Read Psalm 1. What does it mean to "delight in the law of the LORD?" What does "meditating on it (the Law of the LORD) day and night" look like in your own life?

2- Read Psalm 4:1, Psalm 5:1-3, and Psalm 10:1. What do verses like this tells us about our relationship with God? Have you talked with God in these ways? Why or why not?

3- Read Proverbs 1:1-7. Verses 2-4 talk about what the proverbs do the the hearer. Verses 5&6 talk about the role of the hearer; notice the action verbs used (listen, receive, exploring the meaning). How can you ensure that you are interacting properly with God's Word?

4- In Proverbs 1:7, a bold claim is made. Why is the "fear of the LORD the foundation of knowledge?" How have you experienced this?

5- Read through the list of questions asked by God in Job 38-41. How would you respond to God?

6- How does 42:5 demonstrate the difference between knowldege and wisdom
