About WestWay:
Our mission is simple: we want to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We're growing in three ways: our unity, our purpose and our love. This happens because of the power of the Holy Spirit. God is glorified. Lives are changed. People grow in their relationships with God and with others. We're glad you're here!

Series Overview and Additional Resources

How does the Bible “work”? What is it’s purpose? Where did it come from? How did we get it? Can we trust it? What does it mean for me? Join us as we wrestle with these (and other) questions as we survey the entire Bible together.

God's word to Abram (Genesis 12:1-3) has been fulfilled and His people begin to settle in the Promised Land. Like the generations before them, they're given a choice: serve the LORD or serve themselves. God is ever faithful; the people are ever-faithless. As the death, destruction and chaos spiral out of control, how will God respond?

This week, we'll be talking about How the Bible Works to Tell Us God's Plans for His People from Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1&2 Samuel and 1&2 Kings.
Questions about the Sermon or Anything Else?
Text QUESTION to 308-252-3273 and we will address them in our Tuesday Q&A Facebook Live video on Tuesdays at 11:15. The texts are anonymous to us and the public.
Additional Questions for Your Family, Small Group or in a Bible Study:
1- Read Genesis 15; marvel at the way God predicts the bondage in Egypt. Why do you think God told this to Abraham?

2- Compare and contrast Moses' final speech in Deuteronomy 30 and Joshua's covenant renewal ceremony in Joshua 23 & 24.

3- Read Judges 2. How well did the people keep their promise from Joshua 23?

4- Judges 2:10 is a powerful word of condemnation. How are YOU actively working in your home and/or at WestWay to ensure the next generation both acknowledges the LORD and remembers the mighty thins he has done for them? Be specific. If you're not taking an active role in this, why not? What needs to change?

5- Read Deuteronomy 17:14-20. Why was God so specific in what a king was, and was not, supposed to do?

6- At almost every opportunity in the 12 books we've covered so far, the people have chosen autonomy and agenct over God's desires, plans, and will for their lives. To what do you attribute this?
