1. The Crowd

What do you ask yourself on the way home from church: “Did I like it?” or “Did God use me?”

“If all we do is end poverty, eliminate racism, destroy addiction, prevent abuse, heal disease, and feed the hungry, but not point people to Jesus, then all we’ve done is patch the hole in the boat that is headed over a waterfall.”
Discussion Questions - Re-read our passage from this week (Mark 2:1-12) and then with your Growth Group, family, friends, etc. thoughtfully answer the following:

1. Which characters in this passage do you relate to & why?

2. How have you seen “church people” make it hard for those outside of church to come to Jesus?

3. Is it hard to see yourself as “broken?” why or why not?

4. Who is a friend of yours that is not in a relationship with Christ?

5. What are practical ways you can begin to bring them to Christ, or perhaps more accurately, to bring Christ to them?

6. Has God “wrecked” something in your life as a result of making it available to Him? Did it end up being a blessing?

7. What’s your next step in response to this message?

ALL IN by James Merritt

When everything is said and done and you're looking back over your life, what do you think you will regret most? Let's take that question one step further... when it comes to your faith, what will be your greatest regret? Perhaps the most disappointing thought would be to stand before Jesus and realize, that had you chosen to stretch your faith, He had so much more in store for your life. In the series, All In, Dr. James Merritt breaks down what the Bible teaches about living a life of commitment. Straddling the fence in any area of life will only produce mediocre results at best. There's a reason that God wants your best. It's so that you can experience His best. Don't waste another opportunity to reap the harvest of a fully surrendered life!

GOSPEL OF MARK by Francis Chan

The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship?
