DIGGING DEEPER
Expand
The following discussion questions are used in LifeGroups. If you're not in a LifeGroup yet, find a good group and sign up using the link above!
How does v. 6 describe people? What does this description mean (v. 7-8)? Do you think this description of humanity is accurate? Why or why not?
In contrast to humanity, how is God described (v. 8 & 10)? Why do you think v. 9 commands to shout loudly about God?
When God comes in victory, what does He bring with Him (v. 10-11)? What is your reaction to that? How could knowing this affect your attitude and your actions?
What is the point of v. 12-26? How does this passage relate to what came before (v. 6-11) and what comes after (the text for this week’s sermon, v. 27-31)?
Like v. 27, do you ever feel like God is not aware (or doesn’t care) what is happening to you? If so, how does that thought affect your perspective when you are going through difficulty?
What do you think it means to “wait on the Lord” (v. 31)?
