This week is about how those with an Ascetic temperament connect with God through simplicity, solitude, fasting, and prayer. This sermon will encourage and equip every believer to connect with God in the midst of their wilderness season.
Ascetic: Those who choose to give up an extravagant lifestyle to limit the distractions that may hinder them from connecting with God.
Solitude: Intentional time spent alone with God.
Simplicity: Reducing the extravagance of life in order to connect with God more.

Big Idea: Not every Christian has an ascetic temperament, but every Christian (who is led by the Spirit) will have an ascetic season.
