About WestWay:
Our mission is simple: we want to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We're growing in three ways: our unity, our purpose and our love. This happens because of the power of the Holy Spirit. God is glorified. Lives are changed. People grow in their relationships with God and with others. We're glad you're here!

Series Overview and Additional Resources

How does the Bible “work”? What is it’s purpose? Where did it come from? How did we get it? Can we trust it? What does it mean for me? Join us as we wrestle with these (and other) questions as we survey the entire Bible together.

The first five books of the Bible describe the origins of creation, the beginnings of human rebellion, and the birth of the family of Israel- the people chosen and prepared by God to be a light to all people. As the people are about to enter the Promised Land, Moses presents the people with a challenge and a choice: “God has delivered you, will you create your own story, or will you live in his?"

This week, we'll be talking about How the Bible Works to Tell Us About the Beginning of God's People from Genesis 12- Deuteronomy 34.
Questions about the Sermon or Anything Else?
Text QUESTION to 308-252-3273 and we will address them in our Tuesday Q&A Facebook Live video on Tuesdays at 11:15. The texts are anonymous to us and the public.
Additional Questions for Your Family, Small Group or in a Bible Study:
1- In Genesis 50:20, Joseph tells his brothers, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good." Talk about a time in your life when someone intended evil for you but God used it for good.

2- On Sunday, John said something like, "We learn about how the Tabernacle will be built because when you’re in God’s presence…the smallest details matter." Read Exodus 25. Why was God so specific? Why do the details matter? What do the details reveal about God' heart?

3- Read Leviticus 16. What happens on the Day of Atonement and why was it so important to God's people?

4- Read Numbers 11:1-14 and 12:1-15. What does this tell us about the hearts of people?

5- Read Deuteronomy 30. Why does Moses say that the choice between obedience and disobedience is a matter of life and death?

6- Read John 10:10 and John 20:31. How would Jesus and John define "life"?
