About WestWay:
Our mission is simple: we want to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We're growing in three ways: our unity, our purpose and our love. This happens because of the power of the Holy Spirit. God is glorified. Lives are changed. People grow in their relationships with God and with others. We're glad you're here!

Series Overview and Additional Resources

How does the Bible “work”? What is it’s purpose? Where did it come from? How did we get it? Can we trust it? What does it mean for me? Join us as we wrestle with these (and other) questions as we survey the entire Bible together.

Who are we? Where did we come from? How did we get here? What are we here for? The answers to every one of these questions can be found in Genesis chapters 1&2. The world was formed and filled by the loving God who made all things and called them good.

This week, we'll be talking about How the Bible Works to tell Us Our Origin Story.
Questions about the Sermon or Anything Else?
Text QUESTION to 308-252-3273 and we will address them in our Tuesday Q&A Facebook Live video on Tuesdays at 11:15. The texts are anonymous to us and the public.
Additional Questions for Your Family, Small Group or in a Bible Study:
If the weather allows, go outside to read and discuss these questions.

1- What is your favorite part of God's good creation? Why?

2- Read Psalm 19:1-6. How do the heavens proclaim God's glory? How does the sky display his craftsmanship? How do the heavens and the skies "speak"? What message do the heavens and skies proclaim?

3- Go outside and "pick up" a piece of nature (a rock, leaf, blade of grass, a stick, etc.) Or, go outside and observe something in nature ( a tree, the Monument, etc). Read Romans 1:20, focusing especially on this phrase: Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature. Reflect on that for a moment, then describe how your object clearly reveals God's invisible qualities.

4- Read Genesis 1:26-30. what does it mean that man was made in God's image?

5- Read Genesis 2:7. How was man formed and filled?

6- Read Genesis 1&2; make a list of the things we might learn about God, and another list of things we might learn about man. Compare and contrast these lists.

7- Answer the following questions in light of what you've read: Who am I? Where did I come from? How did I get here? What am I here for?

The State of Theology

What do Americans think about Jesus Christ, the Bible, truth, and ethics? Ligonier Ministries’ State of Theology survey provides insights. Every two years, we take the theological temperature of the United States to help Christians better understand today’s culture and equip the church with better insights for discipleship.
You can participate in the survey...this will give us insight into what's happening in our own church body.

"The Bible is Trustworthy" Presentation
