The Principles of First Mention | The Beginning of Atonement
You always remember your firsts. The first time you rode a bike. Your first job. The reason we remember our firsts is because they’re significant. In this new series, Pastor Robert shares that it’s the same way with firsts in the Bible. The first time an important word or phrase is mentioned in Scripture is important because that first mention often establishes a precedent, pattern, or biblical concept that can be seen throughout the rest of the Bible.
This weekend, Pastor Robert shares the solution God came up with from the beginning to free us from walking in guilt and shame.
Gateway Church is a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church founded in 2000 by Pastor Robert Morris. Today we meet as one church in many locations with more than 100,000 people attending each weekend. Our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving; and our mission is to help each person at Gateway believe in Jesus, belong to family, become a follower, and build God’s kingdom. We’re all about people.
At Gateway Church, we know that prayer changes things. Every prayer request submitted here is sent to our Prayer Team and is prayed for multiple times throughout the week. Matthew 18:19: "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
