1. There is a difference between being sovereign (in control) over all and controlling all.
2. There is a difference between God fore-ordaining SOME events of human history, like the cross, and fore-ordaining all events of human history, such as evil.
3. This will sound strange, but when evil appears, it’s easy—perhaps there’s nothing easier to do—to confuse God and Satan.

Perhaps we do not realize the problem, so to call it, of enabling finite free wills to co-exist with Omnipotence. It seems to involve at every moment almost a sort of "divine abdication." -- C. S. Lewis

1. Sovereignty clears up our confusion about life.

2. Sovereignty enables us to RESPOND to life a certain way. We can become BETTER, NOT BITTER.

God is under, above, before, behind, and IN every circumstance.
3. Sovereignty enables us to participate in God’s good works.
4. Sovereignty invites us to have GREAT EXPECTATIONS
