FAITHFUL with NOW before FAITHFUL with NEXT.
Nehemiah 1:1-6 ESV
Don’t get next ahead of now.
We cannot begin being faithful with now until we are faithful about now.
We will be in the POSITION and have the CAPACITY to be faithful with what is NEXT when we are faithful with what is NOW.
Having a Faithful Vision of Now
FED up - about what is WRONG. (Sit and Cry)
Nehemiah 1:6-7 ESV
FIRED up - over what is RIGHT. (Kneel and Pray)
Nehemiah's first step was not towards Jerusalem, it was to God.
Our first step not be towards the problem…it must be towards the answer.
Press into the Lord before you speak up or speak out about the problem that is now.
Nehemiah did not rebel against the authority over him to seek out the passion within him.

Nehemiah 1:10-11 ESV
God is FAITHFUL NOW.
Any faithfulness that is true of us is the result of the faithfulness that is true of God.
Often our focus on what is next is because we do not believe God is being faithful now.
Not one purpose of the Lord has been thwarted…only the plans of people.
This past week, this past month, this last year…not one purpose of the Lord has been denied, delayed, or derailed…only the plans of men.
God is at WORK in the WRECKING not just the REDEEMING.
