Happy New Year! We are so glad you have decided to begin your year by WORSHIPING the One true and living God together with the GTWY Family. In 2021, we will spend multiple weekends beginning conversations rooted in the GTWY Code. Some parts of "the code" are often repeated, because we must never rely on human wisdom over God's. For example, "We prioritize prayer as foundational and essential to everything we do", and "We recognize the Bible as God's absolute authority on our lives". The part of the code that will be our recurring theme through 2021, is "WE BELIEVE EVERYONE WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD." This truth is introduced at the very beginning of God's Story. And it is God's Story that gives context and provides meaning to our stories. Please join us during 2021, as we learn how our responsibility to honor the gift of IMAGO DEI is not only taught in the First Act of God's story but is essential to practice every day of our lives, as we await the return of our Creator and the day when He will reverse the curse on His creation. Building on last WKND's conversation, this WKND we focus on how the IMAGO DEI should influence followers of Jesus.
