Mission Hills Church
Reckless | The Performer
We’re all reckless in our own way, whether in the embrace of counterfeit happiness or a dependence on our own ability to be “good enough." Fortunately God cares so little about the cost of loving us that he is willing to pursue us in whichever far country we have made our home.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

Volunteer Expo

At Mission Hills, we believe that having faith leads to rolling up our sleeves and looking for ways to serve. When we serve, we move from simply going to church to being the church. Join us in the lobby this weekend to have some fun and learn about opportunities to serve with our various ministries. There’s an adventure waiting for every gift and interest - come find yours today! Sign up below.

Why we do things is just as important as what we do.
The hardest people to find are those who don’t know they’re lost.
The older son is driven by performance.
Red Flag #1 - Feeling that God “owes me” is a warning that we’re trusting in our performance.
Red Flag #2 - Resentment towards God is a warning that we’re trusting in our performance.
Red Flag #3 - Fear that God might be using a different scorecard is a warning that we’re trusting in our performance.
Red Flag #4 -The inability to celebrate is a sure sign that we’re trusting in our performance.
Red Flag #5 - The inability to give grace is a sure sign that we're trusting in our performance.
God is far more interested in our relationship with Him than our performance for Him...
1. How much of myself do I see in the older brother?

2. Which signs of performance-dependence are most evident in my life?

3. What is one step I can take this week to begin giving/celebrating God’s grace on others?

Family Night

This fall, we’re excited to announce the introduction of Family Night! Starting September 5, all of our mid-week programs for kids, middle school, and high school students will meet on Wednesday nights. Join us for a special kick-off tailgate at 5 PM on our first Wednesday Family Night. We’ll have a great night on the Mission Hills patio with grilled burgers, hot dogs, prizes, live music, tailgate games, and more.

Classes starting in September, register today.

Discovering God

Discovering God is for people who are curious about God, have a new relationship with Jesus Christ, or are returning to church after being away for a while. If you or someone you know is looking for a safe place to ask questions about faith, or if you want to learn more about the Bible and your place in God’s story, check out Discovering God. Come explore faith and experience community in this 10-week, conversational environment, which follows the Starting Point curriculum.
