"A Hope-Filled Dream" [November 1] Greg Burlile
1: Evil Powers Terrorize God's People
(vss 1-8)
2: The Ancient of Days Holds Court
(vss. 9-12)
3: The Son of Man Receives the Kingdom
(vss. 13-14)
4: God's People Join with the Son of Man
(vss. 18, 27)

1: We must not be naive about the reality of suffering as a believer

Romans 8:16-17

16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

2: Our eyes must look beyond the events of history and current events to the throne of God

If we are assured He is reigning we will be able to live faithfully though we may not understand God’s plan

Colossians 3:2-4

2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

3: As people of God, our hopes are not to be placed in human centers of power, but in the One who is coming in the clouds

Psalm 146:3
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
