ThornCreek Goes to the Beach! :: I Need to Catch a Wave (Purpose)
Wanna go to the beach?! When someone goes to the beach, as beautiful as it might be, there are certain things we might say that communicate…“This is not fun!” During this series we will be looking at life challenges that all of us have faced. We will dive into what the bible has to say about these topics, and grow in our relationship with God. This is a great series to invite a friend who is going through a tough time, or a friend who is thinking about getting back into church. Don’t miss it!

TC Kids
ThornCreek Children’s Ministry strives to partner with families to raise children in the way of Jesus. It’s our goal for children to be transformed by the love of God, to grow in their walk with God, surrender their lives to God, and be a light in the world for others to know God in the same way.

Our curriculum takes the kids through the Bible in a year and they are invited into The Big God Story to experience it and discover who God is and how they fit into His plan!

We believe that parents have a huge impact on the faith of their children! Every Monday, parents are emailed a Family Bible Study that you can do throughout the week with your kids. We also have a repeating 6-week Spiritual Parenting small group that you can be a part of to learn more about raising your children to know God!

We have classes available each weekend for Infants through 5th grade.

All volunteers have passed background checks and we have security procedures in place to create a safe environment for your kids.
TC Teens
TC Teens Ministry’s mission is to create a safe place for teenagers to encounter Jesus, to ask questions, and to experience the Love God has for them, while ultimately integrating them into the body and mission of Christ.

Encounter | Thursdays 6:30pm-8:30pm @ Mountain States Baptist (3751 Cottonwood Lakes Blvd, Thornton 80241)
Soul Fuel | Sundays 9:30am @ Prairie Hills Elementary School

Catching a wave is a lot like identifying the purpose of God for your life. You have to paddle when nobody’s looking, identify where God is moving, then surrender to God’s will.

It starts with knowing Jesus Christ.
“The will of God is not wrapped up in the details of what we do, but the character of who we are. It is not just the large choices, but the daily small choices that cumulatively build us into who God wants us to be.” - Randy Alcorn
Just because it doesn’t add up in your head, doesn’t mean it doesn’t add up with God! Just because it doesn’t make sense to you, doesn’t mean it’s not the will of God. God is not confined to your reasoning!
“In exercising faith — trusting fully in the Lord and not leaning on our own understanding — we’re not setting aside our intellect. We’re resting our intellect upon the intellect of God. Nothing is wiser or saner. To do so is to allow him to direct our paths, which not only lead to ultimate joy, but also make the journey itself, even when laden with sorrow, joyful. And it preserves for us all the pleasures God provides us in the world. To not do this is the height of foolishness and the path to misery.” - Jon Bloom
“Dwelling on God’s plan for the future often excuses us from faithful and sacrificial living now. It tends to create a safe zone of sorts, where we can sit around and have ‘spiritual’ conversations about what God ‘might’ have planned for our lives. Thinking, questioning and talking can take the place of letting the Spirit affect our immediate actions in radical ways.” - Francis Chan
