O Lord my God in You I put my trust
O Lord my God in You I put my hope
O Lord my God in You I put my trust
O Lord my God in You I put my hope

In You in You I find my peace
In You in You I find my strength
In You I live and move and breathe
Let everything I say and do
Be founded by my faith in You
I lift up holy hands and sing
Let the praises ring

O Lord my God to You I give my hands
O Lord my God to You I give my feet
O Lord my God to You I give my everything
O Lord my God to You I give my life

In You in You I find my peace
In You in You I find my strength
In You I live and move and breathe
Let everything I say and do
Be founded by my faith in You
I lift up holy hands and sing
Let the praises ring
Let the praises ring

In You in You I find my peace
In You in You I find my strength
In You I live and move and breathe
Let everything I say and do
Be founded by my faith in You
I lift up holy hands and sing
Let the praises ring

Let the praises ring
Let the praises ring
Let the praises ring
Let the praises ring

Peace bring it all to peace
The storms surrounding me
Let it break at Your name

Still call the sea to still
The rage in me to still
Every wave at Your name

Jesus Jesus You make the darkness tremble
Jesus Jesus You silence fear
Jesus Jesus You make the darkness tremble
Jesus Jesus

Breathe call these bones to live
Call these lungs to sing
Once again I will praise

Jesus Jesus You make the darkness tremble
Jesus Jesus You silence fear
Jesus Jesus You make the darkness tremble
Jesus Jesus

Your name is a light that the shadows
can't deny
Your name cannot be overcome
Your name is alive forever lifted high
Your name cannot be overcome

I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a father
I've known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God

Oh I’m gonna sing of the goodness of God
HOW DO WE HELP WITHOUT HURTING?
WE GIVE _____________________.
You can’t say “_______” ________ if you don’t say “______” _________________.
TALK IT OVER
1. Dogs or cats, which are overly needy? Prove it.
2. Who are a few of the most life-giving people you know? What makes them different?
3. What do you think some deeper issues might be for people who come across as overly needy?
4. Read Mark 1:35-37. How was Jesus giving his disciples exactly what they needed?
5. Pastor Scott said, “You can’t say ‘yes’ often if you don’t say ‘no’ occasionally.” How does it make you feel to say no? How did you come to feel this way?
6. We all experience some kind of need. Which area of your life is most impoverished? How can you allow God to meet you there?
7. Read Psalm 70:5. Share a story of when you or someone else tried to play God’s role of deliverer. What would you do differently now?

Start praying. Be bold and pray with power.
God, the truth is that we are all overly needy for You, Your grace, Your presence, and Your love. Teach us to live depending on You and not someone else, or something else. Help us to take the right steps to bring healing to any hurting relationships or people in our lives. We pray this in Your name. Amen!

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
What do you need to change to better love people who have needs? What actions will you take to trust God with your needs?
