Living generously is about listening to God and then being obedient to follow through.
God is more interested in the source of our hope than the size of our gift.
Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19
If you are to become a generous person you must place your hope in God and not in wealth.
The more our hope is in God the more we will be able to humbly listen to what He is asking us to do with the wealth of resources He has given to us.
It is only when we put our hope in God that we are able to enjoy His good gifts!
“God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment.” v9
God is for our enjoyment which comes from being satisfied in Him as the source!

Each day as we place our hope in God as the source of our lives we will become generous people.

“ rich in good deeds and are willing to share...” v18
Are you listening to God to show you how you can bless and serve others?
The more you place your hope in God the more humble you will become to listen to the giver.
Becoming a generous person is a spiritual battle.
Read Luke 12:32-34
Don’t be afraid of losing out, not having enough or not having what everyone else seems to have.

God has given you the Kingdom. He rules and reigns in your life. He has set you free. He will satisfy you with good things. He is your treasure.

“Sell your possessions and give to the poor...” v33
God knows you need certain things but things are not your treasure.
The more we know the value of the treasure we have in God, the freer we will be to obey God.
What if God asks you to give away a treasure to bless someone because you already possess the greatest treasure that anyone can ever possess?
The credit we have in God’s Kingdom is kept forever as our inheritance. It is not given to live self-indulgently but rather to bless others in Jesus name and for His glory.
“Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” v33-34
When God has our heart and He is our treasure we will become generous people.

Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise.  See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen
