Song - Glorious Day
Expand
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You

I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You

You called my name
and I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day
You called my name
and I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day

Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus when I met You

You called my name
and I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day
You called my name
and I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day

I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break
at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter
I was an orphan

Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken
You were my healing
Now Your love is
The air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open

You called my name and
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day
You called my name
and I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
into Your glorious day

Song - Reckless Love
Expand
Before I spoke a word
You were singing over me
You have been so so good to me
Before I took a breath
You breathed Your life in me
You have been so so kind to me

O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God
O it chases me down
Fights 'til I'm found
Leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it
I don't deserve it
Still You give Yourself away
O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God

When I was Your foe
Still Your love fought for me
You have been so so good to me
When I felt no worth
You paid it all for me
You have been so so kind to me

O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God
O it chases me down
Fights 'til I'm found
Leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it
I don't deserve it
Still You give Yourself away
O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God

There's no shadow You won't light up
Mountain You won't climb up
Coming after me
There's no wall You won't kick down
Lie You won't tear down
Coming after me
(Repeat x3)

O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God
O it chases me down
Fights 'til I'm found
Leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it
I don't deserve it
Still You give Yourself away
O the overwhelming never-ending
Reckless love of God

Confession and Forgiveness
Expand
Jesus, we want to be the kind of followers that show the world a clear reflection of who you are, but we confess that we haven’t always
lived up to the calling that you have given us.

You have called us to go and make disciples and connect people to Jesus for eternity. We want people to be in heaven with us, but our fears, insecurities, busy schedules and calloused hearts have often prevented
us from telling people about you.

Search our hearts and show us where we have failed. Forgive us, make us new, and strengthen our faith so that our lives will give you the Glory.
Hear us as we confess our sins to you.

(Please join us in a silent personal confession of sins to the Lord)
Hymn - Softly and Tenderly
Expand
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See on the portals
He's waiting and watching
Watching for you and for me

Come home come home
Ye who are weary come home
Earnestly tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling O sinner come home

Why should we tarry when
Jesus is pleading
Pleading for you and for me
Why should we linger and heed not
His mercies
Mercies for you and for me

Come home come home
Ye who are weary come home
Earnestly tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling O sinner come home

O for the wonderful love
He has promised
Promised for you and for me
Tho we have sinned
He has mercy and pardon
Pardon for you and for me

Come home come home
Ye who are weary come home
Earnestly tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling O sinner come home

Message Notes

Being | Forgiving | Serving | Giving | Going

Matthew 28:19-20
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Matthew 4:19
Jesus said “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Matthew 4:20
At once they left their nets and followed him.

Romans 10:13-15
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

1. If you want to catch a fish, you have to go fishing!
2. The most effective conversations were more about listening than speaking.
3. Door to Door Evangelism is missing something.

Matthew 28:19
“As you go, make disciples.”

Matthew 28:20
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Hymn - Go Tell It on the Mountain
Expand
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and ev'rywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

While shepherds kept their watching
O'er silent flocks by night
Behold throughout the heavens

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and ev'rywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

The shepherds feared and trembled
When lo above the earth
Rang out the angel chorus
That hailed our Savior's birth

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and ev'rywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

Down in a lonely manger
The humble Christ was born
And God sent us salvation
That blessed Christmas morn

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and ev'rywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

The Lord's Prayer

Elder: ...Into Your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray,

All: Trusting in Your mercy, through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord who taught us to pray;

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen

All:I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell.

The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Song - Not Afraid
Expand
I have this confidence because
I've seen the faithfulness of God
The still inside the storm
The promise of the shore
I trust the power of Your Word
Enough to seek Your Kingdom first
Beyond the barren place
Beyond the ocean waves

When I walk through the waters
I won't be overcome
When I go through the rivers
I will not be drowned
My God will make a way
So I am not afraid

You keep the promises You make
There isn't one that is delayed
So I will not lose heart
Here I will lift my arms
And start to sing into the night
My praise will call the sun to rise
Declare the battle won
Declare that it is done

When I walk through the waters
I won't be overcome
When I go through the rivers
I will not be drowned
My God will make a way
So I am not afraid

When I am in the fire
I will not feel the flame
I'll stand before
The giant declaring victory
My God will make a way
So I am not afraid

Before me behind me always beside me
No shadow no valley
Where You won't find me
No I am not afraid

Before me behind me always beside me
No shadow no valley
Where You won't find me
No I am not afraid
No I am not afraid

When I walk through the waters
I won't be overcome
When I go through the rivers
I will not be drowned
My God will make a way
So I am not afraid

When I am in the fire
I will not feel the flame
I'll stand before
The giant declaring victory
My God will make a way
So I am not afraid

My God will make a way
So I am not afraid
No I am not afraid
No I am not afraid
