Identity- Week 3- I am Alive
Identity. It influences every area of your life. It dictates what you do. If you see your identity as somebody worthless, you will act in a worthless manner. If you see yourself as smart, you act smart (or at least as a smart aleck). If you identify as an idiot, you'll act accordingly. But who does God say that I am? When you spend some time in the Scriptures, you will begin to unpack the identity that Christ desires for you and the Holy Spirit empowers you to become. In a new series that launches this Sunday, we will discover our identity in Christ and who that empowers us to become. Our identity matters. Discover a new way of seeing yourself as we launch our new series Identity: Who You Are Defines What You Do!

Who you are defines what you do!
Jesus wants you to discover your true identity and allow that to impact every area of your life.
“You were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked.”
Ephesians 2:1-2a (ESV)
“As for you, don’t you remember how you used to just exist?Corpses, dead in life, buried by transgressions, wandering the course of this perverse world.” - Ephesians 2:1-2a (The Voice Bible)
What a dead person needs is life.
What a dead person needs is a resurrection.
Because of Christ’s great love for us, because he knew that we needed a Savior, he chose to step from heaven and enter the world he had created so many years ago.
The cross with the resurrection changes everything. The cross with the resurrection is triumphant. It is a declaration that everything had changed. That everything was new.
The resurrection promises that your life can be resurrected too!
Even in the darkness of your story, God’s light shines the brightest.
God wants to give you a new life because of his insurmountable, incomparable love for you.
“I will put breath into you… and you will come to life!” - Ezekiel 37:6
Too many of us are settling for living as reanimated bones when God wants to give you a resurrection!
You are no longer dead in your sins.
You are alive in Christ.
And that changes everything!
